Desirae Callaway, MA, LMT, is an Indigenous therapist of Apache, Diné, Yaqui, and Indigenous Mexican ancestry, with deep native roots in Colorado. Her work is shaped by both the medicine carried through her lineage and the ruptures left by colonization and generations of separation from land, people, and ancestral knowledge.
Desirae experiences her ancestors as a living presence in her work; carried in her blood, her hands, and the way she tends to others.
As a neurodivergent practitioner, she listens deeply—to her clients, their words, and the quiet language of the body.
Desirae draws upon her 15+ years of experience as a performing pole dance athlete, which has comprehensively informed her awareness of movement, body mechanics, anatomy, and somatic experiencing.
Her work is deeply political; rooted in disability justice, racial justice, and gender equity. She believes healing is an act of resistance—an undoing of what capitalism, oppression, and disconnection have bound too tight.
Through her hands, she creates a world where care is radical, presence is resistance, and every body is met with dignity and reverence. More than massage, this is a reclamation. A return. A remembering.
Beyond her work, Desirae is a solo mother of three, an animal lover, an obsessive gardener, and a book nerd who finds joy in learning, tending to plants, and geeking out over the body’s mysteries. These passions, much like her practice, are rooted in curiosity, care, and a love for the unseen connections that shape our lives.
At Metztōna Massage & Wellness, her touch carries the wisdom of her ancestors, the attunement of her neurodivergence, and the fierce care of a mother. She offers a place to rest, be held, and come home to yourself.
